Havana Bar, nestled in two charming 19th-century cottages on Wigan Street, holds a rich history dating back to Wellington's old Chinatown. Originally a speakeasy idea during espresso breaks at Havana Coffee Works in 1991, it officially opened in 2003, embracing all things Cuban - from history and music to rum, cigars, and coffee.
Since then, Havana Bar has been a hub for local and international musicians, creating a vibrant atmosphere. In 2010, the cottage transformed into an award-winning tapas restaurant after Havana Coffee Works moved to Tory St. Today, Havana Bar offers a unique urban oasis, serving the highest quality products sourced from the 'Best little Capital in the World' and beyond.
